FRANCIS PARDEILHAN Born in San Francisco, the French-American, multi-lingual actor has a rich international experience. His professional activity began in California, developed in London’s fringe theatres and was consolidated in the course of his 11-year collaboration with Eugenio Barba as an actor and teacher in Denmark’s Odin Teatret. A resident in Italy since 1987, he has been a member of the teaching bodies of several of Italy’s most important national academies, such as the Teatro a l’Avogaria (Venice), the Accademia d’Arte Drammatica (Calabria), the Accademia d’Arte Drammatica Bellini (Naples), the Accademia Internazionale di Arte Drammatica Teatro Quirino (Rome), the Centro Universitario di Teatro (Perugia) and the Fondamenta School of Acting (Rome). An eclectic, performer, his activities range from acting in film and television, voice acting, dubbing directing, stage direction, the coordination of international youth theater exchanges in Italy, Australia and Africa, to pedagogical theater with and for the mentally and physically handicapped. He has worked with directors such as Vittorio Gassman, Dario Fo, Richard Schechner, Abel Ferrara, Guy Ritchie, Lasse Halström, Mario Martone, Gabrielle Salvatores and Sergio Mimica-Gezzan, Ricky Tognazzi, Amanda Sithers, Susanna Nicchiarelli, Luke Watson, Frank Ciota and Giuseppe Tornatore, to name a few.
